Chinese top political advisor Jia Qinglin met with visiting Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar in Beijing Tuesday.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said the advisory body will facilitate cooperation with the State Great Hural, parliament of Mongolia, so as to promote China-Mongolia relations.

China and Mongolia, the two developing countries sharing 4,700-kilometer border, have many common interests in terms of maintaining regional peace and stability and achieving common development and prosperity, said Jia.

The two countries enjoy advantages in conducting cooperation and exchanges, Jia said.

Jia said the two countries should increase mutual understanding and trust, learn from each other in the process of building their respective countries and further cooperation so as to achieve win-win results and boost bilateral relations in a long-term and stable manner.

Enkhbayar said he and Chinese leaders had in-depth exchange of views and reached extensive consensus on promoting bilateral relation. The Mongolian side will make joint efforts with China to implement the consensus and push forward mutually beneficial cooperation.

Enkhbayar said the Mongolian parliament will enhance cooperation and exchanges with the CPPCC.
