A state avian flu lab confirmed a bird flu outbreak on Nov. 18 that killed 390 chickens and 12 ducks in Laobutou village, Qilidian town of Lingling district in Yongzhou, Hunan Province on Nov. 28. To control the spread of bird flu, Hunan local government has activated emergency plans and Ministry of Agriculture has sent experts to the affected area to oversee the quarantine work and disease control efforts.
