    Transexual Chen Lili to have another breast remodeling surgery

    Transexual Chen Lili came to plastic surgery department under Fuzhou Taijiang hospital for body check and she will have another remodeling surgery in a couple of days on left cheekbone and breasts to make her more womanlike. Chen Lili, born as Chen Yongjun in Nanchong city, southwest China's Sichuan province in 1981, is 173 cm in height and 55 kg in weight. Chen had sex change surgery in November 2003, which realised his dream to become a woman.

    Harbin keeps monitoring the quality of polluted water in Songhua River

    To guarantee the water along the lower reaches of Songhua River safe to drink, Yilan county in Harbin set up a Songhua River water quality monitoring and sample collecting station in Fangzhen county, 20 km further in Dalianhe town. Harbin municipal environment protection bureau has dispatched an emergency monitoring vehicle to Dalianhe town to monitor the Songhua River water quality there.     Anti-terrorism drill held in E.China

    China embraces World AIDS Day

    Students of a nursing school let go of balloons in an event to promote HIV/AIDS prevention in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province November 30, 2005. China will contain the number of HIV carriers to less than 1.5 million by the end of 2010, Health Minister Gao Qiang pledged Wednesday on the eve of World AIDS Day which falls on December 1.

    Xinyuan reports bird flu virus

    An epidemic prevention worker sprays disinfectant in Xinyuan County of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Nov. 28, 2005. About 300 poultry died in the district on Nov. 24. China's Ministry of Agriculture announced on Nov. 30 that the cases were caused by bird flu virus. A total of 118,153 poultry have been Killed within three km from the affected areas.
