Auto output may reach 5.6 mln this year: analyst

China's auto output is expected to reach around 5.6 million this year, indicating a yearly rise of 10 percent, analyst forecasted.

Of the total, sedans output will exceed the mark of 2.6 million units, Jia Xinguang, chief analyst of the China Automotive Industry Consulting Development Company, told the fourth China Summit of Auto Industry Development held recently in Shanyang, capital of northeastern Liaoning Province.

China turned out 4.6189 million autos in the first 10 months of 2005, up 9.18 percent year on year.

The 10 months' output included 3.1518 million accumulative units of passenger vehicles, an increase of 14.92 percent, and 1.4671 million units for commercial use, down 1.39 percent.
