China FAW Group Corporation presents its fourth independently owned brand following Jiefang, Hongqi and Xiali. As is learned from FAW Haima Automobile Co., Ltd, FAW group is now manufacturing these home designed sedans, and the first car will be presented at the middle of next year.

The brand of the home-designed sedan manufactured by FAW Haima Automobile is still under discussion. It is said the brand is likely to be named "Haiqi".

Insider noted that apart from VTribute to be introduced next year FAW MAZDA Automobile Co., Ltd also plans to produce a new type of car developed by Hainan Automobile Group, which is similar to MPV Premacy.

It is said that FAW group plans to realise the objective of producing more than 1 million independently designed cars by 2009.
