Fixed-asset investment grows 10.3 pct in Tibet in Jan.- Oct.

Investement in fixed assets in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region topped 14.74 billion yuan (1.81 billion US dollars) in the January-October period, up 10.3 percent year-on-year.

The figures were released by the Tibet Autonomous Regional Statistics Bureau.

Fixed assets investment in the urban areas stood at 13.98 billion yuan (1.73 billion US dollars), up 6.9 percent from the same period last year, and the investment in real estate industry topped 338 million yuan (41.73 million US dollars), down 27.7 percent from the same period last year.

Investment in agriculture amounted to 547 million yuan (67.53 million US dollars), up 61.3 percent year-on-year; that in the secondary industries was 1.63 billion yuan (200.74 million US dollars), down 19.7 percent year-on-year, and that in tertiary industries saw 11.81 billion yuan (1.46 billion US dollars) of investment, up 10.2 percent year-on-year.
