CPPCC delegation leaves for four-nation tour in Southeast Asia

A delegation of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body, left Beijing Saturday to the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand for a goodwill visit.

The delegation is led by Wang Zhongyu, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and president of the China Economic and Social Council.

The delegation pays the visit at the invitation of the Senate of the Philippines, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Reconstruction and the Senate of Thailand.
