Chinese top legislator meets Lesotho PM

Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met Friday in Beijing with Lesotho Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili.

Wu said that mutual trust and cooperation between China and Lesotho are expanding. This conforms to the fundamental interests of the two countries, he added.

He said China would like to work with Lesotho to bring the relationship to a new level.

Wu noted that Ntlhoi Motsamai, speaker of the National Assembly of Lesotho parliament, visited China last year, and the trip promoted mutual understanding and friendship.

The NPC would like to exchange views with the Lesotho parliament on democracy building to enhance cooperation in all fields, he said.

Mosisili spoke highly of the cooperation between Lesotho and China, saying that Lesotho attaches importance to its relations with China and will strengthen exchanges in all fields.
