Lesotho's Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili said here Saturday that Lesotho is looking forward to further exchange of experience and stronger cooperation with northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

He made the remarks during a meeting with the provincial governor Chen Deming.

The cooperation may cover private business, infrastructure construction, education, textile and tourism, he said.

Mosisili sang highly of the close and harmonious relations between the two countries and reiterated Lesotho's adherence to the one-China policy.

Chen briefed the guest on the provincial history, economy and social conditions.

He said Shaanxi Province has made rapid progress since the Chinese government carried out a strategy to develop the country's western region.

The province is eager to explore opportunities for future cooperation with Lesotho in various fields, he said.

Mosisili arrived at the provincial capital of Xi'an Friday evening.

The city was the capital of China in ancient times, often known as the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the terracotta warriors.

During his stay in Xi'an, Mosisili visited the terracotta warriors and a local hi-tech industrial development zone.

The Lesotho prime minister kicked off his seven-day China tour on Nov.30 as guest of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

Mosisili's next stop is Yichang, the location of the Three Gorges Reservoir, which is the world's largest reservoir under construction, in central China's Hubei Province.
