Sir Christopher Hum, British Ambassador to China, visited the Peoples' Daily and met President of People's Daily Wang Chen and President of People's Daily Online He Jiazheng on Dec. 5.

He also hosted online talks with subscribers of Qiangguoluntan, the most influential Chinese forum on national and international issues sponsored by the People's Daily Online. He answered questions raised by online readers concerning the development of the Sino-British comprehensive strategic partnership, the British role in promoting relations between China and EU and G8, as well as the British stance on international affairs and the British culture. The theme of the talks is UK-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Multi-lateral Diplomacy.
