Nepali Vice Chairmen of the Council of Ministers Kirti Nidhi Bista Monday met with a delegation from China's Hunan province who are visiting Kathmandu to develop friendly relations between Nepal and Hunan province by enhancing trade and investment relations.
"Nepal is very anxious to share the development experience of Hunan province of China," said Bista.
Nepal has offered many incentives to foreign investors in joint venture and Nepal welcomes enterprises from Hunan to invest in Nepal, Bista noted.
He Tongxin, the head of the delegation, who is deputy governor of Hunan, stated that the purpose of the delegation's visit was to search trading and investment cooperation in Nepal.
"We have realized that Nepal has huge scope of exploitation of its water resources and Hunan has very good experience on it, so entrepreneurs from Hunan could invest in Nepal in small hydropower generation projects," he noted.
Meanwhile, Hunan provincial government is ready to transfer technology to Nepal in the field of producing hybrid-rice. In this respect, the province will offer training on technological know- how and seed development project to Nepal, he added.
The delegation which arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday is scheduled to stay in Nepal for five days.
