West-East gas project to have more gas source
font size

The second phase of the gas supply project in Tarim basin has started on Dec.2 with the construction of China's largest condense gas field.

Located in Aksu in south Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the gas field holds nearly 65.63 billion cubic meter natural gas reserves and its condense oil and crude oil reserve come to 26 million ton.

The new gas field will turn out 2.5 billion cubic meter natural gas, 500,000 ton condense oil and crude oil, and 40,000 ton liquefied gas a year once it is put into operation one year later.

The first three gas fields in Tarim has supplied 4 billion gas since it began to provide gas on Sept., 2004 for the West-East gas transmission project.
