Imports and exports in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which is adjacent to Vietnam, amounted to 4.18 billion US dollars in the first 10 months of this year, a growth of 24.8 percent over the year-earlier level.
According to the regional customs sources, the total included 2.31 billion US dollars in export value and 1.87 billion US dollars in import value, up 23.1 percent and 26.8 percent. respectively.
Guangxi mainly sold goods to ASEAN members, the European Union, the United States, China's Hong Kong SAR and Japan.
Industrial products remained the leading export goods in Guangxi, with foreign sales of 1.98 billion US dollars, or 85.7 percent of the region's total exports. The proportion was a record high in recent years.
Border trade in small volume ranked first among different export channels in terms of growth rate, with exports across the border increasing 53.3 percent year-on-year to 286 million US dollars in the 10-month period.
