KMT honorary chairman to receive doctoral degree in HK

Kuomintang (KMT) Honorary Chairman Lien Chan arrived in Hong Kong from Taipei Wednesday afternoon to start a five-day visit.

Lien will be conferred an honorary doctorate by the Chinese University of Hong Kong on Dec. 8 and he will deal with a topic about the perspective of Chinese people in a speech to be delivered on Dec. 10 at the university.

According to the Chinese University, President of the Association for Relations Across Taiwan Straits Wang Daohan will also be conferred an honorary doctorate.

Lien will leave Hong Kong for Taipei on Dec. 11.
