font size

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and US Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick opened the second round of strategic talks at the US State Department on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of China's National Development and Reform Commission Zhu Zhixin held the fifth dialogue on economic development and reform with US Undersecretary for Economic, Business and Agricultural Affairs Josette Shiner.

Dai arrived in Washington on Tuesday evening.

The Sino-US strategic talks are held in accordance with a agreement reached between Chinese President Hu Jintao and his US counterpart, George W. Bush, in Santiago, capital of Chile, in November last year. The first round of the talks was held in Beijing in August this year.
