Nepali Vice Chairmen of the Council of Ministers Tulsi Giri and Kirti Nidhi Bista Thursday met with a China's Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) delegation who are visiting Kathmandu to expand the ties between Nepal and China.
During the meeting, Giri expressed his happiness over the long history of very warm, cordial and cooperative relations between China and Nepal.
Nepal and China enjoy traditional friendship marked by warmth of friendship, cordiality, mutual trust, understanding and cooperation, Giri said.
Being a neighbor, Nepal can benefit from the development of TAR, Bista noted.
The railway linkage between TAR and other places in China helps Nepal's development, and the prosperity and stability of TAR contribute not only to peace and development of China and Nepal but also the whole of South Asia, Bista said.
Chamba Phuntsok, the head of the delegation, who is chairman of TAR government, also said TAR always welcomes Nepal in cooperation in various fields.
Phuntsok also expressed the confidence that the visit by the delegation will further close the China-Nepal ties.
Phuntsok, leading a 13-member delegation of TAR, arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a week-long visit to Nepal.
