Ye Bin, a senior official with the Party School of Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), was sentenced to ten years in prison for taking bribes.

The sentence was upheld and declared by Hainan Provincial Higher People's Court.

When serving as secretary of the school CPC Committee and deputy president of the school, Ye allegedly abused his power and sought illegal interests for a subordinate who bribed him, according to the court.

Ye allegedly took 190,000 yuan (23,456 US dollars) and 10,000 HK dollars from December 2000 to April 2003 from the subordinate, according to the court.
