HK to hold spring silk fair
font size

The China Spring Silk Fair 2006 will be held from Feb. 20 to 22 next year in Hong Kong, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles announced on Monday.

China is the world's largest silk producer. In recent years, China's silk export volume and its added value have increased. However, China lacks products with high technology and strong competitiveness.

The fair, one of the largest of its kind in China, will enhance international exchanges and trade in the silk industry, the chamber of commerce said.

The deadline for the trade fair sign-up is Dec. 15, 2005.
