Japan will provide 10 billion US dollars in the next three years, helping the world's 49 least- developed countries (LDC) to promote their economic development, said Japanese Trade Minister Toshihiro Nikai here on Monday evening.
The official said at a press briefing that the fund will be planned to chiefly support the trade and production development in these countries and the construction of distribution infrastructure.
At the same time, Japan will also launch programs concerning technological aid and human resource training.
The official also noted that Japan will provide "duty-free and quota-free" market access for essentially all products originating from all LDCs, adding that the countries themselves should enhance their domestic production capabilities.
