China's imports and exports of new and high-tech products totaled 371.69 billion US dollars in the first 11 months this year, up 26.9 percent year-on-year, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Monday.
China imported 177.05 billion US dollars worth of high-tech andnew products in the January-November period, up 21.3 percent, whileexports surged a year-on-year 32.5 percent to 194.64 billiondollars, the MOC said.
During the period, China's imports and exports of high-tech goods accounted for 28.4 percent of the country's total foreign trade, a record high, it said.
The growth of high-tech exports is 2.8 percentage points higherthan that of China's foreign trade growth, the ministry said.
Major high-tech exports from China include integrated circuits,cell phones and computers.
