China name squad for friendlies in Spain

China's national soccer team head coach Zhu Guanghu has named a 28-man squad for the friendly matches in Spain, the official website of Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced on Thursday.

The Chinese team will head for Madrid on Dec. 22 and hold a training camp there. According to the CFA, three friendly matches have been scheduled, including one against Andalucia XI in Cadiz's Ramon de Carranza stadium on Dec. 28, as the preparations for the upcoming Asian Cup preliminary round next February as well as the 2006 Doha Asian Games.

Following is the squad:

Goalkeeper: Li Leilei, Yang Zhi, Li Shuai

Defender: Sun Xiang, Ji Mingyi, Liu Wei, Li Weifeng, Zhang Shuai, Zhang Yaokun, Tan Wangsong,

Midfielder: Sun Ji, Wang Ke, Zhao Xuri, Quan Lei, Cao Yang, Hao Junmin, Cui Peng, Liu Jian, Wang Dong, Du Zhenyu, Zhao Junzhe, Li Yan, Chen Tao, Lu Lin

Forward: Mao Jianqin, Gaolin, Li Yi, Han Peng
