A roadside bomb went off in eastern Baghdad Sunday morning, killing two policemen, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A powerful blast was caused by an improvised explosive device at about 8:00 a.m. (0500 GMT) near the al-Mustansriyah University, " the source said on condition of anonymity.
A police vehicle was also badly charred by the blast, he said.
Insurgents frequently attacked the Iraqi security forces accusing them of collaboration with the US occupation troops.
