font size

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), will pay his annual duty visit to Beijing on Dec. 27 and 28, local media reported Monday.

Ho during his visit will call on leaders of the central government and brief them on the latest social, economic and political developments in the SAR, said Macao Post Daily, the sole English newspaper in the city.

Macao, a region with a population of merely 480,000, has long been one of the fast growing economies at the global stage.

Donald Tsang Yam Kuen, chief executive of the Hong Kong SAR, will also pay his duty visit to Beijing on Dec. 27 and 28, according to the report.
