Guangzhou-based Southern Airlines established its Beijing company on Monday.

The China Southern Airlines was created by merger of the China Southern, China Northern and Xinjiang Airlines. Beijing is located on the center of the three airlines' service area. The 2008 Beijing Olympics will provide more opportunity for the Beijing aviation market, said Si Xianmin, general manager of China Southern Airlines.

The airlines will put the world's biggest aircraft, A380, into operation in Beijing, which may fly routes from Beijing to Europe, north America and south America. It also plans to increase the frequency of domestic flights departing from Beijing.
