Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met here Thursday with a delegation from the Thai News Agency (TNA) headed by Rawat Chamchalerm, chairman of the Mass Communications Organization of Thailand.

Liu said China and Thailand have conducted fruitful cooperation in various fields since two countries established diplomatic ties 30 years ago. The two countries have kept frequent high-level mutual visits, and coordinated closely in international affairs.

He expressed the hope that the current China visit by the delegation will help promote the exchanges and cooperation between the press circles of both countries and increase mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

The delegation is here on a ten-day China visit at the invitation of the Xinhua News Agency.
