font size

People's Daily has learned from the work conference on trade and economy of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region that the local industrial added value had topped 100 billion yuan for the first time. Industrial production and benefits are the best ever in the history.

From Jan. to Nov., Xinjiang's scaled industries, referring to enterprises with annual sales of at least 5 million yuan, generated 83.5 billion yuan profits. That is an increase of 17.5 percent year on year. The growth is faster than the national average.

The added value of the local industry exceeded the previously set target by 16 billion yuan. The profits soared more than 70 percent to 39 billion yuan.
