Blast hits Kyrgyzstan, no casualities reported
font size

A blast struck a regional administration building in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, but no casualties were reported at present, according to reports from the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek.

The explosion shattered windows of an administration building and nearby houses in the southwest Osh region, a spokesman for local police said.

The spokesman said preliminary information showed that the explosion was the result of a gas leak, but he did not rule out the possibility of a terrorist act.

"We're working on the terrorist act version as well," he added.
