Unknown gunmen shot dead six Iraqis in separate attacks in Baghdad on Saturday, a police source told Xinhua.
"Armed men opened fire at a car carrying employees of the Health Ministry in Baghdad's southern Doura district, killing three of them," Captain Ahmed Abdullah said.
In a separate incident, gunmen opened fire and killed an Iraqi army captain in Amil district in southwestern Baghdad, Abdullah said.
A third attack took place in 14 Ramadhan Street in Mansur district in western Baghdad, where armed men riddled a shop with bullets, killing two persons, the source added.
Gunmen often target government employees and security forces in the country in an attempt to cripple the US-backed government installed in April.
