Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. plans to sell its luxury Infiniti cars in China in 2007, and the first group of dealers will be operating in major Chinese cities such Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou before the end of the year.

Recruitment of the dealers is being carried out by the Japanese company's China arm, according to Monday's Beijing News.
The company plans to establish an unified selling and service network for Infiniti cars in most major Chinese cities in 2007, said Nissan China.
Market observers said Nissan's move underscores a heated global battle between car makers over the lucrative luxury auto market in China.
Experts with Chinese Ministry of Commerce said the imported low-and-middle-end cars are losing their market in China, while the luxury brand cars and personalized cars will rise to be the main stream of the market.
