HK Chief Executive leaves for visit to Beijing

Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang on Tuesday left here for Beijing for a duty visit.

According to a government press release, during his two-day visit, Tsang will call on leaders of the Central Government and brief them on the latest social, economic and political development in Hong Kong.

Donald Tsang will take leave from Dec. 29 to 31 and will return to Hong Kong on Jan. 1, 2006. He will be on vacation outside Hong Kong with his family, according to government sources.

During Tsang's absence from Hong Kong, Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui will be Acting Chief Executive.
