The funeral service of Wang Daohan, Chinese mainland's top envoy on Taiwan affairs, is scheduled to be held at Longhua funeral parlour in Shanghai at 10:00 a.m. Friday.
The news was announced by a leading official of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS).
Leading officials of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China will be present at the funeral.
In accordance with the wish of Wang's family, family members of Koo Chen-fu, late president of Taiwan-based Strait Exchange Foundation(SEF),will also attend the funeral, according to ARATS.
Other people to be present on the occasion include some SEF officials who have participated in the Wang-Koo meetings and representatives of Taiwan's Kuomintang Party, People First Party, New Party and the Alliance for the Reunification of China.
Some of Wang's friends in Taiwan, Taiwan businessmen investing on the Chinese mainland and heads of Taiwan enterprise associations on the mainland will also be on hand, ARATS said.
