Beijing breaks ground on hockey & archery fields for 2008 Olympic Games

Beijing broke ground on the hockey & archery fields for the 2008 Olympic Games in the Olympic Park on Wednesday.

The hockey field covers an area of 11.87 hectare with 17,000 seats. Located in the same area of southern part of the Olympic Park, the archery ground will seat 5000 spectators.

The venue will also be used for the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.
