Energy output in NW China province reports rapid growth

Shaanxi Province, a leading energy base in western China, reported an all-round growth in energy output this year.

In the first 11 months of this year, Shaanxi produced 16.25 million tons of crude oil, up 17.9 percent over last year's same period, according to statistics of the provincial industry and transport office.

The output of refined oil in Shaanxi reached 10.28 million tons, a rise of 20.7 percent. The finished products include 3.5 million tons of gasoline, up 32.1 percent, and 4.68 million tons of diesel oil, up 22.5 percent.

During the same period, the output of natural gas climbed to 7.16 billion cubic meters, up 1.4 percent, and its coal output topped 90 million tons.
