Macao Int'l Airport accommodates 4.2 mln passengers in 2005

The Macao International Airport handled 4.2 million passengers in 2005, a year-on-year rise of 14 percent, local media reported Tuesday.

Macao Post Daily quoted airport sources as saying that the airport carried 227,233 tons of cargo in 2005, a year-on-year increase of 3 percent.

The airport handled 197 tons of mail in the year, a 105-percent growth over 2004, sources were cited.

The number of aircraft movements covering take-offs and touchdowns reached 45,004 in the year, a year-on-year rise of 11 percent.
