Bangladeshi security forces on Tuesday bulldozed two camps of Myanmar separatists in southwestern Bandarban hill district and seized huge modern heavy weapons and ammunition, reported NTV, a private television channel.

Bangladeshi border guards and army conducted a joint operation in the camps early hours Tuesday in the deep forest of Nuikhongchari sub-district of Bandarban administrative district in Chittagong Hill Tracts, bordering Myanmar, according to the report.

They dismantled the hideout of the National Liberation Front of Arakan (NLFA), which is fighting a guerrilla war for a separate state in the southwestern Arakan province of Myanmar.

The seized weapons included five M-16 rifles, one AK-17 rifle, two 303 rifles, seven 12 point bore rifles and 7,500 ammunition of various weapons. The security forces also arrested three guerrillas.
