Million- ton ethylene plant to be built in Tianjin

Approved by the State Council, Sinopec will soon begin to build a ethylene-refinery complex with annual production capacity of one million tons.

To be completed by 2008, the project will turn out 1.2 million tons of ethylene a year and its refinery will be able to process 12.5 million tons of crude oil a year. So far, the project has been the biggest industrial program for the port city in north China.
