Eight Palestinians from the same family were wounded early Saturday in a mysterious explosion inside their home in the northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses reported.
They said that eight Palestinians sustained different injuries after they were wounded by the splinters of the mysterious explosion inside their house in the northern Gaza Strip refugee camp of Jabalia.
Ambulances rushed to the scene and managed to evacuate the eight to the hospital of Kamal Edwan in Beit Lahia town, they added.
Well-informed Palestinian sources said that the house belongs to a member of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, armed wing of the ruling Fatah movement.
The sources said that the cause of the explosion is still unknown and security forces started immediately investigating in the accident.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued attacking the northern Gaza where the Israeli army fired rounds of artilleries at open fields in the area, according to witnesses.
Israel Radio reported that firing artillery shells came to deter Palestinians from using the fields to launch homemade rockets at Israel.
