The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday said Japan's yelling of "China Threat" is out of its ulterior motives and aims to re-track the old road of invasion.
"Japan's foreign authorities, by yelling the 'China Threat', wants to conceal the truth that its military expenditure is higher than China and to legalize its warlike actions," the major Rodong Sinmun newspaper said in a commentary.
The commentary condemned Japan's right-wingers for repeatedly visiting the Yasukuni Shrine where Class A war criminals are honored and for distorting Japan's history of aggression.
"The present tension between China and Japan is rooted in Japan's crying of the 'China Threat' and a series of its wrong actions," the commentary said.
