Foreign trade through Shanghai customs tops $350 in 2005

Statistics released on Jan.10 by the Shanghai Customs show import and export through Shanghai saw leapfrog growth in 2005, realizing a total volume of $350.68 billion. It was up by 24.1 percent over that of 2004 and accounted for 24.7 percent of national foreign trade.

Of the total trade, export made up $212.43 billion up by 31.7 percent and import registered $138.25 billion up by 14 percent.
