The use of bankcards is attracting travelers each passing day with the growth momentum that is hopeful for it to surpass other ways of payment. It has become a new way of payment that Chinese travelers are fond of when traveling, reports the overseas edition of People's Daily on Monday.
A recent survey results released by the American Express Company show that of the 1,200 high-income people respondents in eight cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, half expressed they paid attention to whether it was convenient for them to withdraw money with credit cards in travel. Following this, 43 per cent of them placed more emphasis on the convenience of whether it was convenient for them to use credit cards, including 34 per cent cardholders interviewed were very rest assured over the use of cards for overseas consumption.
The survey shows that most of the respondents agreed that there were advantages in the use of cards, and 67 percent of them believed that cards can make them avoid bringing a lot of cash with them, which is the great advantage. In comparison with withdrawing money in other locations, 27 and 19 percent of them respectively favored the unnecessary exchange for cash and the access to worldwide function.
At the same time, there still exist card worries for Chinese travelers, which mainly include high handling fee, information secrecy, security problem and exchange rate.
