Beijing's tertiary industry accounts for 67.7%

During the ��Tenth Five Year Plan�� period, Beijing's economy kept a continuous and healthy development. According to estimates, the city's annual gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 11.8% annually, and per capita GDP exceeded 5000 US dollars. Tertiary industry accounts for 67.7%.

The local fiscal revenue soared to 91.9 billion yuan in 2005 from 34.5 billion yuan in 2000, an increase of 25.3%.

In the mean time, the capital city consumed 5.5 percent and 13 percent less energy and water to generate every ten thousand yuan GDP.
