China exported 6.08 billion U.S. dollars worth of toys in the first 11 months of 2005, up 4.2 percent year on year, according to official figures released in Beijing Wednesday.

China's toy exports have grown for four years in a row, said a report released Wednesday by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts.

Toy exports to the United States, the European Union, Hong Kong, and Japan accounts for 47.7 percent, 22.4 percent, 10.4 percent and 5.2 percent of China's total toy exports, figures show.

About 69.3 percent of China's toy exports came from south China's Guangdong Province, 9.5 percent from east China's Jiangsu Province and 6.8 percent from Shanghai Municipality.

Toy exports of privately-owned Chinese enterprises increased by 56.4 percent year on year, making up 15.1 percent of the country's total. Foreign-owned firms saw their toy exports up 2.9 percent while those of state-owned enterprises dropped by 7.2 percent, accounting for 44.9 percent and 34.5 percent of the total.
