font size

Several Chinese and international giants, including French Alstom, have been informed to participate into the bidding slated at the end of this month for the infrastructure project for China's hi-speed railroad.

Alstom China President Alain Berger has confirmed the information to the Beijing Times that Alstom will vie against other contenders for infrastructures such as rail, power and signals along the country's some 1,000-kilometer hi-speed railway.

Alstom is one of the world's leaders in wheel rail but not engaged in maglev.
