font size

Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong Friday extended Spring Festival greetings to old comrades at a tea party in Beijing, pledging to let them share the progress of reform.

Zeng said the government will always remember the achievements made by veteran comrades to China's revolutionary, construction and reform cause, and the Communist Party committees and governments at all levels will work to ensure that all policies about veterans are fully implemented.

He urged officials at Part committees and governments at all levels to pay frequent visits to the old comrades to help solve their difficulties, organize activities to learn about major Party and state policies and international situations.

He also reviewed the path China has taken in the past five years, last year in particular, urging the country to implement the concept of scientific development and build up a country featuring innovation.
