China-U.S. relations maintained a momentum of positive and steady development in the past year, senior officials from China's Foreign Ministry and U.S. Department of State said in Beijing Tuesday.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and visiting U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Robert B. Zoellick reached the consensus in their talks.
