font size

Vietnam and Uruguay have signed an agreement on concluding the bilateral negotiation on the former's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), local newspaper Youth reported Wednesday.

Uruguay is the first country concluding WTO negotiations with Vietnam in 2006, encouraging other partners to support Vietnam in negotiating on the issue, Vietnamese ambassador to the WTO in Geneva, Ngo Quang Xuan, said at the signing ceremony in Geneva on Tuesday.

On Thursday morning, Vietnam is to sign an agreement on concluding negotiation on its WTO accession with New Zealand in Hanoi.

Vietnam is expected to finish all bilateral talks on its WTO entry, including those with two key partners, namely the United States and Australia, within this year.
