Nokia (China) Investment Co., Ltd announced January 24 it will officially launch XpressMusic, a dedicated brand aiming to collect Nokia's portfolio of music- optimized mobile devices, in China after the Spring Festival.
According to Dan Wong, vice President of Sales and Channel Management Multimedia, China Area Nokia (China) Investment Co., Ltd, Nokia will launch both N91 and 3250 marked with XpressMusic in China to compete with other music phones already released by its rivals Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Amoi.
The 4G hard-drive N91 will be the first of its kind in China with storage for up to 3000 songs and price mounting to 700 euro and Nokia 3250 is set to be priced at around 4000 RMB.
Insiders say the reason for launching the XpressMusic brand comes from the high profit of music phones and vast market needs for such kind of mobile phones.
