China's embroidery machine export to Southeast Asia and South America has been rocketing since 2005, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles said here Thursday.

In the first three quarters of 2005, China exported 20,568 embroidery machine tools, up by 83 percent year on year. The growth rate is 96 percentage points higher than that in the same period of 2004.

China's export of embroidery machine expanded to 88 countries and regions in the first three quarters. India and Indonesia were the two largest markets, accounting for 57 percent of China's total embroidery machine export.

China's embroidery machine export to India, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Yemen, Peru, Mexico, Germany and Argentina jumped 290 percent, 280 percent, 210 percent, 150 percent, 270 percent, 110 percent, 370 percent and 200 percent respectively.
