At least five anti-government guerrillas surrendered at the district administration office in Dolakha in central Nepal on Thursday, the district administration office said in a press statement on Friday.
"Disillusioned with terrorist activities of the guerrillas, at least five guerrillas have surrendered in District Administration Office (DAO) in Dolakha district, some 200 km east of Kathmandu," DAO said in a press statement.
Meanwhile, the security forces have discovered a pistol, one set of pressure cooker bombs, one set of bucket bomb weighing 7 kg, three sets of detonators and other explosives during a search operation in Galfi town of far-western Darchula district, some 800 km west of Kathmandu, the Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) said.
Meanwhile, the security forces, in course of a search action, confiscated six detonators, different documents, and important materials used by the guerrillas from Dhamja village of western Baglung district, some 300 km west of Kathmandu, RNA said in press statement.
The security forces also diffused the bomb planted by the guerrillas in local Siddartha Highway of western Shyanga district, some 300 km west of Kathmandu, the press statement said.
