The Philippine Embassy in Beijing next month will launch a book on official agreements signed between the Philippines and China since 1975 when the two countries established diplomatic relations, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs said in Manila Monday.
The book will be entitled "Philippines-China Agreements (1975- 2005): Bridges towards the Golden Age of Partnership" and will contain major agreements between the Philippines and China signed in the past 30 years.
During an interview on the Filipino Program of China Radio International (CRI), Ambassador Willy C. Gaa announced that the book will be one of the final projects of the embassy to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China.
Gaa said the book is a compendium of all major agreements between the two countries since diplomatic relations were established in 1975.
The book is "envisioned to be a solid reference for scholars on Philippines-China relations and will be the most meaningful and lasting memento of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries," he said.
Agreements covered in the compendium include those in the fields of politics, defense, judiciary, trade, agriculture, consul, air services, infrastructure, tourism, science and technology, maritime, culture, sports, youth, communications, media and information.
